It was shot on location in Egypt and Italia, with underwater scenes recorded at the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and a full new soundstage being designed at Pinewood Studios for a colossal set that depicted the interior of a tanker. Plot
British and Soviet ballistic-missile submarines cryptically disappear. James Bond—MI6 agent 007—is summoned to analyze. On the way, he escapes Associate in Nursing ambush by Soviet agents in European country, killing one throughout a downhill ski chase, and escaping via a Union flag parachute. Bond learns that the plans for a highly advanced submarine pursuit system are on the market in Egypt. There, he encounters Major Anya Amasova—KGB agent Triple X—his rival for the plans. Bond and Amasova group, because of a truce supported by their several superiors. They travel across Egypt along, pursuit the microfilm plans, meeting Jaws—an artificially tall assassin with steel teeth—along the approach. They later determine the person who wrote it for the thefts as shipping big businessman, individual and syndicalist Karl Stromberg.
While traveling by train to Stromberg's base in Sardinia, Bond saves Amasova from being attacked by Jaws, and their rivalry changes into feeling. They visit Stromberg's base and learn of his mysterious new tank ship, the Liparus. Jaws and other henchmen chase the couple's automotive, but they escape because of Bond's superior driving skills and his q Branch Lotus spirit sports car/submarine. This distinctive automotive allows the two spies to perform an additional underwater reconnaissance of Stromberg's facilities. Bond later finds out that the Liparus has never visited any acknowledged port or harbour, and Amasova learns that Bond killed her lover in Austria; she guarantees Bond that she will kill him once their mission ends.

Later, whereas aboard Associate in Nursing yankee submarine, Bond and Amasova examine Stromberg's underwater imaginary place base and ensure that he is operational the pursuit system. The Liparus then captures the submarine, just as it captured the others. Stromberg sets his set up in motion: the launching of nuclear missiles from the submarines, to destroy moscow and ny city. this might trigger a global nuclear war, that Stromberg would survive in imaginary place, and subsequently a replacement civilisation would be established. He leaves for imaginary place with Amasova. Bond frees the captured British, Russian and yankee submariners and that they battle the Liparus's crew. Bond reprograms country and Soviet submarines to destroy each other, saving moscow and ny. The victorious submariners escape the sinking Liparus on the yankee submarine.
Bond insists on rescuing Amasova before the submarine has got to follow its orders and destroy imaginary place. Bond confronts and kills Stromberg but again encounters Jaws, whom he drops into a shark tank. Bond Associate in Nursingd Amasova break away in an escape pod as imaginary place is ruined. within the pod Amasova reminds Bond that she has vowed to kill him and picks up Bond's gun, but admits to having forgiven him and therefore the two have intercourse. The Royal Navy recovers the pod, and therefore the two spies are seen in intimate embrace through its giant window, much to the fearfulness of Bond and Amasova's superiors. Meanwhile, Jaws escapes from the shark tank (after fatally biting the shark) and swims off into the sunset.
